Requirements



Nexus 5X/6P or Pixel/Pixel XL  device running on Android Oreo 8.0 firmware.

Backup your data like official software update or anything else.

Unlock bootloader.

Enable USB debugging on your device



Make sure necessary USB  drivers are installed on your PC.

Rooting Android 8.0 Oreo

Transfer the files Super Su Config, Super Su, and SuHide files that you download in to your devices’ internal storage.

Download the relavent TWRP for your device and transfer the file to your ADB installation folder. Rename the file with a name something easy to type.(like “twrp-oreo”)

Installing TWRP

Press and hold power and volume down button at the same time until you see the typical fast boot menu.

Connect your device to the computer via USB cable properly.

Go to your ADB installation folder and type cmd in the address bar in the and enter for opening a commend prompt window in your ADB folder.

Type “fastboot devices” in commend prompt window and hit enter to confirm connection is proper.

Once your device is recognized, It will return in to your devices’ serial number.




Use the following command to flash the TWRP image onto your device. Replace twrp-oreo.img (text in blue) with the file name of your TWRP image file.

Fastboot recovery twrp-oreo.img

Once flashing finished, Disconnect your device from PC and Highlight the recovery mode option using volume keys and use the power button to select it for reboot your device in to recovery mode.
Flashing SuperSu

01.In recovery mode, select Install, then browse and select SuperSuConfig. This isn’t necessary with Android 8.0 but It will make extra sure.

02.Tap on the Select more zips button and select the SuperSU zip also.

03.Swipe at the bottom to flash both the files.

04. Select Systemless SBIN and for all other options, choose let SuperSu decide In the SuperSUConfig AROMA installer.

05.Tap on the Reboot system button in the bottom After both the files are flashed

When your device boots up you will see the SuperSu app in your App drawer. Now you can enjoy benefits of rooted Android device.
